Conference Drive reopens

At 6 pm Thursday, March 24, Conference Drive in Mount Hermon, CA, will be clear and open to all traffic. Mount Hermon Association is asking all motorists to continue to drive slowly and cautiously through the slide area, and pedestrians are asked not to walk along Conference Drive until all of the tree debris can be removed from the pathway.

Earthworks Excavation Company and La Selva Tree Company were instrumental in the removal of the debris and trees.

All scheduled events at Mount Hermon are proceeding as planned. All major facilities have back-up power generation if needed and equipment is on-site to clear any further minor debris in the slide area.

Early this afternoon a fir tree fell across the road on Pine Avenue. The downed power lines have been deactivated by PG&E. Tree work to clear the road will begin Friday morning, March 25th.

PG&E currently has no estimates of when power will be restored to the affected homes. For those residents who have lost power, Mount Hermon is making its walk-in refrigerators and freezers available to store any food needing cooling until power is restored. Please contact our registration and information desk at 831-335-4466 beginning at 8 am, Friday, March 25th if you need help to store food.
