Praise & Prayer Worship Night (Thu 11/7)
You are invited to the fourth Worship Night that will be taking place this Thursday, November 7th, 7:00pm-8:00pm. The time will be led by Ron Taylor and Dave Lippman. Come join them for a restful night of worship, reflection, fellowship and refreshment as we spend some intentional time in God’s presence at the Mount Hermon Prayer Chapel. The theme for this Worship Night is The God who Sees me. There will be coffee, tea, and cookies available outside afterward. Everyone on the mountain is invited! This is open to anyone on the MHA staff or in the Mount Hermon community or who you think would enjoy attending. For more information, contact Keri Lippman, Reservations and Events Services Registrar at 831-430-1212.
Operation Christmas Child (Mon 11/18)Mount Hermon’s Operation Christmas Child packing party has previously and graciously been led by Lisa Galleguillos. This year, Lisa is transitioning the leadership over to Ramohna Jones. We will be having our packing party on November 18th at 6:30 pm. It will be in the Newton Building/children’s day camp building, across the street from the field. We will be folding and filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, clothing and school supplies. Those shoeboxes, along with an introduction to the Gospel, will be delivered to under privileged children, around the world, as part of Samaritan’s Purse, headed by Franklin Graham. All Mount Hermon staff, residents, volunteers and their families are encouraged and more than welcome to attend. Children may participate, providing they are supervised by an adult. We ask participants to please bring items to pack and/or a minimum of $9 to go towards shipping the boxes. Items most needed are crayons, combs, boy’s t-shirts in all sizes, hairbrushes and bathsoap. Checks may be made out to Samaritan’s Purse or Operation Christmas Child. Refreshments will be provided. Any questions may be sent to [email protected] or her cell # 810-623-2949. If anyone wants to donate, but cannot attend, their donations may be dropped off at 80 Forest Rd.
MHC Neighborhood Christmas Dinner (Tue 12/10)Every year, we look forward to the Mount Hermon Neighborhood Christmas Dinner! It will be Tuesday, December 10th, 6:00pm-7:45pm, in the Mount Hermon Dining Hall. Enjoy a beautiful buffet with your neighbors while singing Christmas carols with Dave Talbott. There is also a drawing for select gifts from local businesses. This private event is exclusively for Mount Hermon property owners, residents, and MHA staff. [Non residents and guests are encouraged to enjoy the Mount Hermon Christmas Concerts and buffets the weekends before this event.] Tickets are $8.00 per person when you pick them up in person at the Welcome Center; Tickets are $8.50 per person online because of the fee they take out of the transaction (Click Here to buy online). Children 4 years old and younger dine for free. We started selling tickets on November 1st. We are grateful to the Mount Hermon Association for giving us a tremendous discount toward this wonderful buffet. For more info email Reggie Coates at [email protected].
