Dear Mount Hermon Community, here’s the latest information from Mount Hermon Association regarding the Water System. ~ Reggie
Dear Residents of Mount Hermon,Thank you for reading the following update carefully as it contains new information regarding Mount Hermon’s water system. Mount Hermon is doing everything possible to restore safe drinking water to you. Mount Hermon continues to work closely with the CA state water board regarding this situation. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your continued patience.
The boil notice remains in effect. Of the 11 sample locations tested yesterday (November 16), throughout the system including all wells, storage tanks, and all designated sampling stations, one of the sampling locations came back positive for coliform, negative for E coli. This was the same location where the only traces of coliform and E coli were detected. Because coliform was detected in one of the sample results today, the state will require a minimum of two additional tests to be taken on subsequent days, November 17 and 18. Should these samples come back negative, Mount Hermon may be permitted to issue a “Boil water cancellation notice” on Friday, November 19. This would be the soonest possible.
When we receive the clearance by the CA state water board, Mount Hermon will inform each resident by written notification delivered to your door. Until then, please continue to follow the instructions in the Boil Order Notice attached.
Thank you,
Mount Hermon Association, Inc.
